Your power bill is a monthly guess

A retailer's bill tells you what the entire house used, once a month, long after you could have done anything about it. It cannot tell you that the second fridge in the garage costs you a hundred and eighty dollars a year, or that the pool pump has been running straight through the most expensive hours of the day.

Clamps on the circuits you care about turn that guess into a live picture, per circuit, in dollars rather than only in kilowatt hours. About half the value of this work is simply finding the always on loads that nobody suspected.

Solar you use is worth several times solar you export

Feed in tariffs have fallen a long way. Every unit you export now earns a fraction of what the same unit is worth if you use it in the house instead. The gap between those two numbers is where the money is.

Once the system can see your inverter and battery, it can move the loads that do not care what time they run. Hot water, pool pump, dishwasher and car charging shift into the middle of the day while the panels are producing, automatically, without anybody having to think about it.

Time of use tariffs punish you for the wrong hour

Most Victorian households are now on a tariff that charges more at certain times, and some are on demand tariffs where a single spike can set the charge for an entire quarter. Neither is something you can manage by paying attention, because nobody pays attention that consistently.

The system knows your tariff windows and schedules the heavy loads around them. If you are on a wholesale priced plan it can watch the spot price directly and run those loads when power is at its cheapest, which occasionally means free.

Water and gas belong on the same screen

Pulse counters on the water and gas meters bring the other two utilities into the same picture. That is how a leaking toilet or a slab leak becomes visible, because it shows up as a flat overnight baseline that should not exist.

All of it is logged locally on your own hardware. No energy retailer, no app vendor and no third party receives a copy of how your household lives.

Do I need solar for this to be worth it?

No. Roughly half the benefit is seeing where the power goes and killing the loads you did not know you had. Solar and battery integration add load shifting on top of that, but per circuit monitoring pays for itself on its own.

Will this work with my inverter and battery?

Most mainstream inverters and batteries can be integrated. Rather than promise blind, we check your exact model during the audit and tell you plainly if yours is one of the awkward ones.

Does the metering need an electrician?

Yes. The clamps go inside the switchboard, so a licensed electrician installs them. That is included in the scope, and it is the main reason a three phase board costs more to fit out than a single phase one.

Can I see all of it in one place?

That is the point. Every monitored circuit, the solar, the battery, and water and gas if the meters allow it, on one dashboard, in dollars as well as units. It runs on your own system, so the history stays yours.
